In the southern part of Batan Island are the towns of Uyugan and Ivana. Uyugan is about 15 kilometers south of Basco. You can find several of the classic Ivatan houses in this town, also the other barrios of Uyugan namely Itbud and Imnajbu. Imnajbu Church is also where the first mass and baptism was ever held in the Batanes Islands.
Ivana is about 10 kilometers south of Basco (the capital) and this is where you can find Honesty Cafe, House of Dakay and the port of Ivana.
